My Bubble

I wonder if you can hear me, calling and crying
I want you to hear my words
But I’m trapped in my bubble
Alone in my bubble
As I scream and shout to be heard.

I try to reach you, try to hold you
With my hand pressed against the side
But I’m trapped in my bubble
Alone in my bubble
And all I can do is hide.

I watch the people as they walk past
They walk freely to and fro
But I’m trapped in my bubble
Alone in my bubble
There’s nowhere else I can go.

I see you stand in the warmth and sun
I long to feel the same heat
But I’m trapped in my bubble
Alone in my bubble
With a cold floor under my feet.

I want to be loved; I need to be loved
I want you to hold me tight
But I’m trapped in my bubble
Alone in my bubble
And love is out of sight.
