FACE (Fighting Against Child Exploitation) is a group of young people, male and female, who are aware of the dangers of grooming and sexual exploitation.
This website was developed by them to help other young people who are vulnerable or taking risks. We hope this website will let them know about the dangers out there and give information on how to keep safe.
This website was originally created by a group of young people in Scotland in 2006 to inform young people on the themes and risks surrounding sexual exploitation. In 2014, the NWG Network in partnership with Barnardos Scotland updated the website with the assistance of young people affected by CSE across the UK.
In 2015 the NWG Network Youth Advisory Group developed the #SaySomething campaign, which seeks to raise awareness of the risks of Child Sexual Exploitation through Healthy/Unhealthy Relationship education. They developed marketing materials & partnered with Missing People to launch a 24/7, Free, Anonymous, Confidential helpline that young people could contact with concerns about themselves or friends.
This website is now a hybrid of the original Faceup2it website and the on going developing #SaySomething campaign, we hope this website will continue to be the work of young people for young people.
